This is a 'behind the scenes' look at the make-up I did for my friend and aspiring model, Jon, who is hoping to submit head shots to modelling agencies in Montreal! When it comes to head shots, the focus is on natural, but polished. Head shots shouldn't be retouched, so I focused on perfecting Jon's skin to make a nice even base. Contouring emphasized his great bone structure. For a list of the products used, check out my blog at www.kristinaelise.com Thanks for watching ! xx

Here's a brief summary of what I mention in the video: * Complementary Colour: - colours that are directly opposite on the colour wheel - when paired, one on top of the other, they neutralize each other - when paired beside one another, they make each other appear more vibrant * Neutral Harmony - a collection of colours with NO dominating pigment * Warm Harmony - a collection of colours that all contain a dominating warm pigment * Cool Harmony - a collection of colours that all contain a dominating cool pigment * Mixed Harmony - a mix of warm and cool colours that also share a common element - example, yellow - purple - green. Yellow is in common with itself and green. Green and purple share the common pigment of blue. * Complementary Harmony - a colour and its complementary ************** Thank you for watching! *** This is an OLD VIDEO from 2009 that I had uploaded on my OTHER channel (ProGlossip). Since I no longer use this channel, but was told the video was helpful, I decided to upload it here! *** Thank you for watching! Here are the points I outlined in the video - let me know if you have any questions by: Commenting below Emailing me @ kristina@kelisecosmetics.com 1. Face length: - Short face: 3 zones of same, but small size OR 2 same zones, one shorter. (ANY zone can be shorter) - Medium face: 3 zones of same, but medium size OR 2 same zones, one longer. (ANY zone can be longer) - Long face: no equal zones 2. Eyebrow Shapes: - High incline of slant elongates the face - Horizontal slant adds width - Slight slant used for medium faces - no change 3. Eye Setting - Close set eyes: starting point of eyebrows should be farther apart -- gives illusion of wider eyes - Wide set eyes: starting point of eyebrows should be closer together -- gives the illusion of closer eyes 4. Apex Placement - Apex moving toward temple: widens upper part of face - Apex above eye/cheek: narrows forehead 5. Extremity/Tail: - Short: Makes face look longer - Med: No change - Long: Makes face look shorter Music from: www.entropymusic.com

Make-up case/trunk: INGLOT, size medium. I don't think INGLOT actually makes the cases - they just sell them! Original price: $150, but with my INGLOT pro card, I got 30% off the price. To apply for an INGLOT pro card you can go to an INGLOT store and ask for a form. You'll need two pieces of proof that you're a professional make-up artist, including a diploma/certificate/degree. I gave a copy of my diploma + a business card and the completed form. Then I showed my driver's license. When you apply for the card, you can get 40% off of everything in the store that day; otherwise you'll have to wait until they mail you your actual card in 4-6 weeks. Thanks for watching!!
