A '70s heavy metal fragment on a carbon fibre and concrete guitar, in the 22-tone equal division of the octave. It's playing through a Roland Microcube on the "Rectifier" setting. The dissonance at 0:09 is not possible in 12-equal. See www.handmademusicclubhouse.com for more info and photos. Choob creator's home page dkeenan.com

After sorting out the charger interface hardware and charger software, we were finally able to test our charger once we had 60 cells wired in series. For less than about 60 cells, the nominal 312 V Elcon charger rejects the battery as being too low in voltage. The charger software ramps the current up at 0.1 A per second, up to the charger limit of 5.5 A. When the average cell voltage reaches 3.33 V, the battery totals 200 V.

My friend Hutch wondering what the hell he's doing trying to play Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here on a tubular guitar with 22 frets to the octave (31 total) that glows in the dark.

Do cell-top battery management units have to be a fire hazard?

Pattern made as the master unit interrogates each cell in turn for its voltage and the following cells pass it on.

The MX-lightning drives under its own power to the tow truck (only because it's not yet registered) at the end of the 2011 Australian Electric Vehicle Festival in King George Square, Brisbane. It has 73 of its planned 228 lithium cells installed. For more info see www.evalbum.com For lots more info see forums.aeva.asn.au

For more info: forums.aeva.asn.au This was the first time we'd spun our motor since it had been mechanically coupled to the MX-5 drivetrain. It's an ABB 3-phase induction motor (3GAA 131 008E) with Tritium WaveSculptor 200 Drive. Traction pack is currently only 24 V for testing, soon to be 365 V, and eventually double that (in LiFeP04).

A tubular electric guitar from a crashed alien spacecraft ;-). This one has 22 frets to the octave (31 total). Hutch had never played a 22-tone guitar before, or a tubular one! He plays Henry Mancini's theme from Peter Gunn (or Blues Brothers or Planet Claire) followed by a basic 12 bar blues shuffle in E. See www.handmademusicclubhouse.com for more info and photos.
